Work package 2: Business models

The main objectives of this work package are to specify new business models and methods of community engagement to enable the incremental role out of energy positive neighbourhoods in the validation pilot case studies in work package 5 and identify how these can be adapted to different EU contexts.

Work package 3: developing the specifications

The main objective of this work package is to develop the specifications for neighbourhood energy management tool, the planning decision support tool, the user interfaces and the monitoring strategy. The specifications will be based on the situation in the case study demonstration sites.

Work package 4: prototyping & integration

Building on the outputs of work package 2 and work package 3, the goal of this work package is to develop and test the operational ICT infrastructure, systems and tools.

Work package 5: Demonstration & validation

The primary objective of this work package is to provide empirical evidence of the benefits of the internet based infrastructure and decision support system for control management in terms of energy positiveness, total cost of operation, CO2 reduction and improved services for users.

Work package 6: Dissemination & community engagement

The main objectives of this work package are to engender stakeholder engagement in the development of energy positive neighbourhoods and the widespread dissemination of the project results.
